It was back in 2010, when the earth started to shake.
It was back in 2010, when the Haitians all were crying.
More than hundred thousand people on the islands got killed.
No meaning, use and fault and no end of the dying.

It's another Sunday morning, so keep searching for survivors.
It's another Sunday morning, so don't stop your digging.
Some might go to pray and praise and some might do service.
But to all the others: Keep on digging!

It was a-mighty strange. I got all news from radio.
There was telly and the net. But no pics I wished to see.
Or documentaries, just facts and interviews.
Back in early 2010 most came from the BBC.

Cultures where in mix and viruses all over,
woods and water running low, the place all in a mess.
But there was a better world a-coming, as Woody sang before.
Yes, there was a better world a-coming as you guessed and as you see.
